well here's the first of the posted pics for the trip...i hope this gives you taste of the coolness that we get to see during the week! gosh! i think this pick is from week 3 and i really dont have any clue what the name of this town is but thats ok...
we have finished the pre-scheduled
plans and now we are filling our week with a few day trips and some river play...it is about 9.10pm here in big red and we are bout to get some grub at suntrays(an americanesque chicken place)...i will agree that it is tragic but i must tell you that my desire for chinese food has lessened considerably and i dont know if this is due to lack of hunger or disagreeable menus...i just dont feel the food at this point...struggle...tomorrow we the bp bros are taking a trip to a small town about an hour and half from here and we are gonna do some pwalking and some lookin around...it should be some sweet time...
yesterday we had an american vs. china basketball game at the college here in town and it proved to be an exciting event...they brought out the big guns, and i might add that both teams were well-equipped...the stands were filled and the crowd was extremely exciteable...it was so fun...we had two real referees and a chalk scoreboard on the wall! wish i could explain more but d.o. has a nice summary on his site and we have to eat...love you guys and cant wait to see you soon! i may post some more stuff later on tonight...

i hope your last week is nothing shy of glorious... i heard it explained the other day as the final lap around the track after a marathon... I can only imagine what you're feeling right now...but i'm asking for extreme goodness and blessings from Daddy on your last week there! Your words have been so encouraging...thank you! Well I could tell you about all the incredible and exciting things that are going on here in CS, but I won't because that just isn't true. I'm glad you are having a sweet time over there man. I can't wait for you to get back here so we can hang. Drew is still spreading the word despite the man trying to get him down, and I'm still in the business of saving lives. Until we meet again (ha)

We were so glad to see your picture today when we returned from our trip to Glenrose. Sounds like you and Tanner have hit it off. Norman and Barbara went with us to celebrate 29 years. The guys played golf at Squaw Valley. We shopped. We had dinner in Granbury at a Mexican place. I picked a Bed and Breakfast for overnight.
Jody and Blake returned from Waco where they fished and killed an enormous water moccasin. Blake shot it. You can see the pictures later. Jody will not be home when you return next Sunday. His friends are planning a trip for the 4th of July.
We were concerned about the flooding that we have read about in China. Will that affect your travel? We've read in the news that there have been many deaths and mudslides caused by floods near Beijing. What do you know?

Jon! So awesome to read your updates. I know as the time draws near to return to the states the hunger pains for American food and the desire for clothes that haven't been worn over and over and washed by your own hands begin to creep around you! Stand firm and dig deep for the last drops of joy. You can come visit Mike and me and share your amazing pics and not have to worry about going out for chinese food (Mike doesn't like it!)This of course will have to be after July 25, that's when we return home from the honeymoon!
